Alicia McPhee, a Nashville native, found
her love for dance at age 9. Soon after, her love for dance became her
passion and the rest is history. Her training started at DC Dance Factory
and over the next 10 years Alicia traveled the country training through
conventions and competing in local and national competitions. After
years of competing Alicia moved to Pittsburgh, PA to continue her dance
education at Point Park College. After a year, Alicia decided to pursue
her career as a dancer and moved to California. Since then, she has
performed in many industrials, and music videos. Alicia also toured
with renowned artist Stacie Orrico, performing at the first MTV Asia
Award Show. Other artists Alicia toured has with include, JoDee Messina,
Rascal Flatts, and Nicole C. Mullen.
After suffering from a broken foot, Alicia found
a second love…Pilates. Pilates started as rehab and then extended
into her dance technique. Being able to come back a stronger dancer
she knew she had to teach others. Alicia packed her bags and moved to
New York City to study under Joseph Pilates protégé, Romana
Kryzanowsky. After 6 months and over 800 hours of training under the
most qualified teachers in the world, Alicia was tested, and is now
a Certified Pilates Instructor. Visit Alicia at www.pilates4life.org
Alicia is back in Nashville where she recently
performed in the 2007 CMA’s dancing for Big and Rich and with
LeeAnn Rhimes on the 2008 CMT Awards. She continues teaching dance and
Pilates at DC Dance Factory hoping to inspire young dancers in her two
loves of life…
